Aloo Methi Tikki Recipe is enormously delicious dish which is made by methi and potatoes.These tikkis cook quick and easily at home and also a tasty snack dish, methi contains minerals like potassium, iron and calcium. You can serve Aloo Methi Tikki as a snack with green chutney or tomato sauce.
1 kg potatoes.
200 gms methi.
½ cup bread crumbs.
½ cup maida (plain flour).
2 tsp cumin seeds(zeera).
¼ tsp turmeric powder(haldi).
½ cup chopped onions.
2 tsp chaat masala powder.
1 tsp chopped green chillies.
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste.
1/3 cup chopped coriander leaves(dhaniya patti).
1 tbsp corn flour.
A pinch of asafoetida.
Salt according your taste.
oil for deep fry.
How to cook Aloo Methi Tikki
1 . Wash methi very well around 4-5 times with fresh water .
2 . Now extract water and finely chopped it, keep aside.
3 . Take 1 tsp oil in a pan and Heat them, add asafoetida,cumin seeds.
4 . When it crackle then add chopped onion sauté till it brown.
5 . After that add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies , sauté it for a minute.
6 . Boil the potatoes and Mash it and add in a pan, Mix well and add chopped methi, stir on low flame.
7 . Add all the remaining spices, corn flour and required salt ,cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
8 . Now off the flame and allow to cool completely.
9 . Now take the bread crumbs and maida in the plate, mix well and keep aside.
10. Now make the tikki in equal size, roll the tikki and cover with the bread crumbs-maida mixture.
11. Now heat oil in pan and Fry the tikkis , till they become golden from both the sides.
12. Now serve yummy Aloo Methi Tikki with green chutney or tomato sauce.
