Mordhan Kheer Recipe


Mordhan kheer is very delicious sweet recipe which is prepared during fasting days, especially in “Navratri” and “sawan” .
People call it different names in different areas like Samo rice, mordhan, kodri, varai, barnyard millets.
It is very healthy and nutritious food which contains calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
Here Mydaawat is sharing an easy Mordhan Kheer Recipe with you.


1/4 cup samo rice(mordhan).
5-6 Pistachio
5-6 almonds.
5-6 cashew nuts
8-10 Raisan.
¼ tsp cardamom powder.
2 tbsp sugar.
½ liter milk.

How to Cook Mordhan Kheer

1.Firstly wash the samo rice for 2-3 times.
2.Heat milk in a container on low-medium flame
3.Once the milk starts boiling add the washed mordhan and stir well. Cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
4.After that add dry fruits and cardamom power. Keep stiring and cook for 2 minutes.
5.Now add sugar and again cook for 5-6 minutes on low flame.
6.Garnish with dry fruits and serve this yummy and delicious Mordhan Kheer.
